And despite our best efforts to accelerate vaccine development, impose restrictions to protect collective health, and create relief programs, the unpredictability of the future persists. But we shouldn\u2019t fear what might happen. Rather, we should learn to accept it, adapt to it, and improve upon it.     <\/p>\n\n<p>Founded a year after the 2008 global financial crisis, Recruit Action is no stranger to uncertainty. The adversity that founding partner Fran\u00e7ois Paiement faced in the company\u2019s first year taught him that life becomes increasingly difficult when we fail to embrace change, whether in our work or personal lives. Over the past decade, the Recruit Action team has transformed to offer unwavering support to countless businesses and candidates. The company reinforces this notion with every challenge it faces. For example, like most companies, Recruit Action had to adapt to remote work during the pandemic. According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qualtrics.com\/blog\/confronting-mental-health\/\">recent study<\/a> conducted by Qualtrics, SAP, and Mind Share Partners, 44% of employees surveyed who had to work from home reported that their mental health had significantly deteriorated. However, Recruit Action\u2019s partners understood the potential impact of remote work and wasted no time implementing a creative solution.    <\/p>\n\n<p>Partner Domenic Calcara asked his personal trainer, Tom Begue, if he would design a virtual fitness session for Recruit Action employees. Domenic believed that a consistent group exercise program could improve morale, foster team cohesion, and strengthen his employees\u2019 physical and mental well-being. Tom Begue loved the idea and quickly got to work designing a stimulating exercise program for the team. Partners Fran\u00e7ois and Kristyn also embraced Domenic\u2019s idea. For Fran\u00e7ois, \u201cevery contact we had with the employee was about work, and we needed to find a new way to interact with them.\u201d    <\/p>\n\n<p>Although virtual challenges complicated the initial sessions, the plan was a resounding success. Recruit Action employees immediately embraced their bi-weekly group workouts, and the experience helped solidify group morale, despite the isolation. For Kristyn, the solution showed that \u201cno matter how busy we are, we should always take the time to give ourselves a mental break.\u201d So, when summer arrived, the partners decided to take a break and see if the team would like to resume the program the following fall. The answer was a resounding \u201cYes!\u201d The team embraced the strategy and had fun working to become stronger both physically and mentally, together.    <\/p>\n\n<p>The renowned Russian author Leo Tolstoy once said, \u201cTrue life is lived only when tiny changes occur.\u201d Tolstoy\u2019s life was full of unexpected and traumatic events, which shaped his work and the way he lived his life.
