Mail Clerk
Play an important role in supporting daily business operations through document processing, imaging, and fulfillment activities. This opportunity offers a diverse workload, collaborative environment, and exposure to several areas of the insurance industry.
What is in it for you:
• Fixed Salary: Hourly rate of $23.
• 6-month contract.
• Full-time position: 40 hours per week.
• Work Schedule: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
• Future schedule may change to 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
• On-site work in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
• Manage incoming and outgoing advisor mail operations accurately and efficiently.
• Receive, open when applicable, sort, prepare, scan, index, and distribute incoming mail, output, and courier packages to various business units.
• Prepare, sort, and ship outgoing mail and courier deliveries.
• Operate within Imaging and Fulfillment Centers supporting head office and primary locations in Boston.
• Handle mail sorting, scanning, indexing, and document processing activities.
• Support fulfillment operations and ensure timely processing of workflows.
• Deliver quality customer service and operational support to administrative groups.
• Meet service levels and operational standards established by the business unit.
• Process troubleshooting mail requiring advanced knowledge and problem-solving abilities.
• Process inbound bulk mail, daily workflow activities, and statistical reporting tasks.
• Train newly hired employees within the Imaging and Fulfillment Center.
• Work across multiple operational areas through cross-functional training.
• Handle sensitive personally identifiable information (PII) with accuracy and confidentiality.
What you will need to succeed:
Required qualifications
• 1 year of experience with imaging and indexing systems.
• Previous experience working in an office environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Experience with data entry and written communication tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet physical job requirements, including lifting up to 20 pounds and standing for extended periods during the workday.
• Ability to handle sensitive personal information with accuracy and confidentiality.
Preferred qualifications
• Some college education preferred.
• Previous experience with scanning, indexing, and mail sorting.
• Previous experience operating mailing equipment, folder inserters, and postage meters.
• Demonstrated employment stability.
• Interest in professional growth and development.
• Reliability and ability to learn quickly.
