Sophie Robichaud believes that life, like plants, has many branches. Sophie was looking to take the next step in her career when she met Kristyn Oleskewycz of Recruit Action. “I was sending out resumes for a new job. I did a phone screening with Kristyn for another position. During our conversation, Kristyn told me she had another job opportunity that would be a better fit for my qualifications,” says Sophie.

Previously, Sophie worked as a team leader for Sunwing Vacations, an airline specializing in vacation packages to the South and the Caribbean. Sophie was a team leader in Sunwing’s call center, managing a group of about fifteen agents. “I studied horticulture, which is a completely different world compared to my current career, but I gained practical experience by starting at the bottom and working my way up,” explains Sophie.

Like a plant growing in the sun, Sophie has grown steadily and confidently in her career. When Kristyn told her about the new position, she saw it as an opportunity to grow even further. “Kristyn sent my CV to Global Excel, a travel insurance company. We had an interview, they sent me the contract, and now I’m part of their team! I only started a week ago and I’m more than happy with the result,” explains Sophie. She now works as a team leader in Global Excel’s call center, where she helps agents achieve their performance indicators and provides them with comprehensive support.

Sophie is grateful to Kristyn for introducing her to the position and supporting her throughout the process. “Kristyn was proactive in matching my resume to a position I hadn’t considered, to further my career in the travel industry, an industry I was already familiar with. I was able to bring my industry knowledge and put it to good use at Global Excel,” says Sophie. She appreciated the support and prompt communication from Recruit Action during each step of the recruitment process. “Kristyn prepared me for each interview, called me before and after, and always followed up with Global Excel to inform me of what was next. She really went the extra mile, and I felt like someone was holding my hand throughout the entire process,” says Sophie.

Aside from the opportunity to advance in her field, Sophie is pleased with the work-life balance her new position offers. “I now live close to the office, which is a big advantage for me. I’m lucky to be able to work from home, but the fact that the commute is so short motivates me to come into the office and enjoy my day with my colleagues,” says Sophie. Along with her busy schedule, Sophie also enjoys landscaping and garden design in her spare time. “I like to do more than one thing in life. I love my job, but I also love working with plants. It’s nice to dabble in different areas of life, and Recruit Action helped me find a job that allows me to do that,” says Sophie.
